All about games
A contemporary source of inspiration was Collins’ recent fascination with reality television programs. She says they are like The Hunger Games because the Games are not just entertainment but also a reminder to the districts of their rebellion https://rich-palms-review.com/. Collins says that while she was channel-surfing the television on a quiet night, she saw people competing for a prize and then saw footage of the Iraq War. She described how the two combined in an “unsettling way” to create her first ideas for the series.
Katniss is a sixteen-year-old girl living with her family in an area called District twelve. The district is fenced off and Katniss must illegally sneak through a hole in the fence whenever she wants to go hunting in the woods. She hunts using a bow that she made herself. Her father taught her to hunt before he died in an explosion down in the mines where he worked when she was eleven years old. Trespassing in the woods is strictly forbidden in the district but Katniss does not face much resistance from the townspeople or the guards who are called Peacekeepers. She even sells her kills to the Peacekeepers occasionally as well as the rest of the town. Most of the people in her district do not have enough food and poverty and malnutrition is rampant.
Boggs: Boggs is President Coin’s right-hand man. When they first meet, Katniss distrusts him. But over time, Katniss comes to see him differently and learns to trust him. Boggs briefly serves as Katniss’s bodyguard. He is killed in a terrible accident, when he steps on a land mine on a Capitol street.
All about me games
A simple but fun science activity that teaches students about the parts of their bodies. They can arrange the images to where they should be located and also explore their own eyes, ears, hair, etc by looking in a mirror.
Each month, I like to have my preschoolers write their name and draw a picture of themselves. Not only does this make for a great keepsake, but it’s also a quick way to assess their writing and drawing development. These monthly self-portrait pages are part of my Assessment Pack in my shop.
I love the various gross motor skills! There’s no better way to capture a preschooler’s attention than doing gross motor activities and combined with learning it’s even better! Thank you for all the great ideas all in one easy, convenient place!
Matching Game: Make pictures of each child in your class and print out two copies of each picture. Glue the pictures onto index cards to make a matching game with pictures of the faces of the children in your group.
This is a nice warmer activity for an “All About Me” lesson. Students can brainstorm some categories of things that they might want to know about someone. For example, hobbies, family, favourite foods, schedule, etc. Check it out: ESL Word Association.
This “All About Me” curriculum is just what I needed. I purchased one from another group and although it was great and helpful it was not broken down like the one that Joy and her team has created for us. I can now click a button and get all the crafts, songs, center set up, and more!!
All about me games for kids
All about you is a speaking activity to get to know your students. Students need to role the dice and answer the questions. The first to finish is the winner! This is one thing that I feel is the hardest for all of the teachers and mommas out there! By having this tool you will be able to save so much time without having to go through many different search engines, spending tons of money just for a couple sheets, and just having the access at your fingertips! I love the accessibility, safety, and effectiveness of these! Pure genius and couldn’t have come out greater! Thank you so much for thinking of us so much to put this together! This is definitely a game changer and will be so much fun, and my greatest take away is it will save time so that I will be able to spend more times with the children in my care as well as my own family time at home.
Honestly, do you know how much time I’ve wasted, scouring the internet, only to find 1 or 2 possible fun and engaging “All About Me” activities?! We’re not even gonna talk about how I’ve contemplated which songs I thought would fit perfectly with the lesson but something the kiddos would like as well! It’s here! It’s all here and I’m so grateful! This is literally awesome! Thank you.
