New World is set in a fictional world during the 17th century during the Age of Exploration. We’ve worked so hard to make New World: Aeternum sing with a controller and play well on console and spent the better part of the last year optimizing, polishing and readying Aeternum for this next phase. On top of that, we’ve added more endgame content including our first raid, the Hive of Gorgons, which is the culmination of our PvE experience, and a Free-For-All PvP zone the Cursed Mists, where adventurers can test their skills and grab awesome loot! We’ve also rebuilt the way we tell the story to really immerse players in the world.
The economy centers around gold coins. The player can dispose of unwanted items through market between players in exchange for gold coins, they can «salvage» (dismantle) the items for resources, they can discard the item on to the ground, or they can make a direct trade with another player. Characters that die do not drop items, but with each combat encounter, use, or death, the player’s items undergo damage. This damage can be repaired with repair items and gold coins.

In 2020, Netflix released Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or Not to Steal, an interactive film that blended game and narrative. Fans could once again pursue Carmen, this time making choices that affected the storyline. It was a hit, combining nostalgia with innovative storytelling techniques.
This game is widely considered the most informational game of the entire series. Though it may contain some minute differences from the main series, it remains true to it. This game’s aim is to capture Carmen’s gang of thieves, one by one until all of her henchmen have been caught. This is done by searching for clues, trailing them, identifying them and finally, bringing them in for trial. After all of the henchmen have been caught, the player must then go after Carmen herself. One of the main differences is that the player can receive in-game help.
