World War 3 is a free-to-play first-person shooter developed and published by Wishlist Games in collaboration with The 4 Winds Entertainment for Microsoft Windows. World War 3 is solely multiplayer and does not feature a single-player campaign. It features real-world locations of Warsaw, Berlin, Moscow, Smolensk, Polyarny, the Gobi Desert, Tokyo, the Korean DMZ, and Istanbul; the locations have been extensively revamped since the early access release on October 19, 2018. The full version followed on December 10, 2022. On December 14, 2023, Wishlist Games acquired the rights to develop World War 3 from The Farm 51, becoming the next lead development studio for the game.
There’s plenty of World War 3 gameplay footage available online, but the short version is that World War 3 is aiming to fill the gap left by Battlefield, particularly for those more interested in skill-based modern day combat.
Game 3 world series
The playoffs began with Blake Treinen rescuing a wobbly Dodgers bullpen, the 36-year-old right-hander replacing Michael Kopech and escaping a two-on, one-out eighth-inning jam and throwing 39 pitches for a five-out save in the National League Division Series opener against the San Diego Padres.
This was another ineffective evening for the Yankees’ captain Aaron Judge, another night when they struggled to get help from the bottom half of their lineup (when they had two aboard and two out with Anthony Banda on the mound for L.A. in the seventh, Gleyber Torres was called out looking for strike three), another night when their starter didn’t have it. Though Verdugo’s two-out, two-run homer in the ninth put a late jolt into the building, it was too late to spark a real rally.

“Hopefully we can go be this amazing story and shock the world,” manager Aaron Boone said. “But right now it’s about trying to get a lead, trying to grab a game, and force another one, and then on from there.”
The two-time All-Star improved to 4-4 in 18 career postseason starts, including a 2-0 record with a 0.50 ERA in three World Series outings. He has yielded one run and seven hits with 22 strikeouts over 18 innings in those assignments — Game 3s against Boston (2018), Tampa Bay (2020) and the Yankees.
Game 2 world series
Ohtani had all of Dodger Stadium holding its collective breath when he left in the seventh inning after appearing to sustain a shoulder injury during a stolen-base attempt. Ohtani rolled around on the ground while grabbing his left arm before heading to the clubhouse.
Granted, this was also a good night for the Dodgers offense, especially early. Pouncing on Yankees starter Carlos Rodón, Freeman homered again. Teoscar Hernández went deep. Mookie Betts and Tommy Edman stayed hot. But a relatively close game never actually felt close until the very end, and that was because of Yamamoto.
Rangers: García continued his hot stretch after earning ALCS MVP honors, going 3-for-4 with the walk-off homer, a walk and a hit-by-pitch in Game 1. Seager went 1-for-4 with a game-tying home run and two walks.
Who’s hot, who’s not?D-backs: Marte has recorded a hit in all 13 games this postseason — and each of his 17 career postseason games. His 17-game hitting streak is tied with Manny Ramírez, Derek Jeter and Hank Bauer for the longest in postseason history.
How will the bullpens line up after the starter?D-backs: Arizona’s bullpen blueprint faltered for the first time this postseason in Game 1, but it’s unlikely that changes Lovullo’s usage plan for Game 2. Left-hander Joe Mantiply appears to be the first option against the big lefty bats at the top of the Rangers’ order in Seager and Carter. Andrew Saalfrank has been used as another high-leverage lefty this postseason, but he has struggled with command and was not called upon in Game 1. Instead, fellow lefty Kyle Nelson tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings, including inducing a key groundout from Seager in the bottom of the 10th.
That’s just the second time in World Series history that the Dodgers have gone back-to-back. Pedro Guerrero and Steve Yeager did it against Ron Guidry in the seventh inning of Game 5 during the 1981 World Series, also against the Yankees.
