Game 1 world series

After going down 5-0 in the third inning, largely due to two home runs by Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker, the Phillies buckled down and clawed their way back, tying it up on a J.T. Realmuto double in the fifth. Neither team was able to score for the remaining four innings, although the Astros came close in the ninth with Jose Altuve in scoring position with two outs. Nick Castellanos made an incredible catch, however, to send the game into extra innings.

Just like that, the Phillies get right back in this game, scoring three runs off Justin Verlander with two outs in the fourth inning. Verlander appeared to catch a break when Rhys Hoskins held up at third base on Bryce Harper’s two-out line-drive single to right field, but Nick Castellanos rescued Hoskins with a base hit to left and Alec Bohm doubled down the left-field line to score two.

While the final score may not indicate it, Friday’s World Series contest began as a pitcher’s duel. Both the Dodgers and Yankees sent their strongest postseason starters, Jack Flaherty and Gerrit Cole, to the mound, and each turned in a solid performance. Through four innings, both teams remained scoreless.

Realmuto came through again in the 10th, hammering a home run to right field to put the Phillies ahead by one. Philadelphia held on after an Alex Bregman double in the 10th and took a Game 1 that looked like it was over early.

11:12 p.m. — We’ve got extra baseball in Game 1 of the World Series. Verdugo comes through with a sliding grab to send the game to the 10th inning, and Giancarlo Stanton will lead it off for New York.

Star wars open world game

Experience the first-ever open world Star Wars game set between the events of the Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi with Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.

This new entry sets the bar pretty high for future LEGO releases, bringing a lot to the table with over 300 characters and plenty of ships to speed around the galaxy in, not to mention the rich and surprisingly funny experience that awaits you thanks to all new levels and cutscenes spanning the nine main films in the franchise. Whether it’s on Switch or another platform, I can safely say that fans of LEGO Star Wars won’t want to miss out on this one.

As you’d expect, The Skywalker Saga tells a condensed story of each film, skipping over large sections of plot that means you’ll be very confused if you’re not familiar with the source material. We (bravely) revisited the prequel trilogy for the first time in many years to refresh our memories before playing through the game’s take on them.

An untitled Star Wars game is also currently in the works from Skydance New Media. In collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, veteran writer and director Amy Hennig will be at the helm of the studio, who’s well known for previously working on big hits such as Uncharted and Jak and Daxter. The new Star Wars game is described as a narrative-driven action-adventure, and while not much else has been revealed about the project, a report suggests it could be a revival of a prior Star Wars project that was ultimately shuttered.

Respawn surprised us all with the announcement of a Star Wars strategy game. Revealed alongside a first-person shooter (which has since been canceled), the untitled Star Wars strategy game is currently being developed through a «production collaboration» with freshly established studio Bit Reactor. Respawn will be producing the project, while Bit Reactor will lead its development. The new studio is being led by veteran developer Greg Foertsch, who previously worked at Firaxis on Sid Meisner’s Civilization series (aka some of the best strategy games ever made) – among others. Very little has been revealed about the project so far, so the release date is still likely to be a ways off.

Set between the events of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back™ and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™, Star Wars Outlaws takes place in a time when the Galactic Empire relentlessly pursues the final defeat of the Rebel Alliance, and the criminal underworld is thriving. Kay will take on high-risk, high-reward missions from the galaxy’s crime syndicates as she seeks the means to start a new life.
